Ortho-Physio has provided physiotherapy and massage therapy since 2004, for patients from Etobicoke, Woodbridge, Mississauga, Brampton, Malton, Rexdale and Toronto.

Physiotherapy
Manual therapy
Hands-on treatment: joint and soft tissue mobilizations, manipulations, muscle stretching and myofascial release therapy.
McKenzie method
The McKenzie system, used at the clinic in the treatment of spinal disorders.
Acupuncture
Used here since 1996 in the treatment of acute and chronic conditions, for relief of pain, headaches, inflammation, swelling and stiffness.
Electrotherapy
Interferential current (IFC), TENS, therapeutic ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation.
Traction and chest physiotherapy
Cervical and lumbar traction, and chest physiotherapy for respiratory conditions such as COPD and bronchitis.
Therapeutic exercise
Therapeutic exercises, and classes for chronic and persistent pain management.

Braces, orthotics and supports
Custom-made foot orthotics and knee braces for knee osteoarthritis, meniscus and ligament injuries and post-surgery, plus compression hosiery for foot and leg oedema and varicose veins.

The people who treat you.
Two registered physiotherapists treat patients here. Between them they cover manual therapy, the McKenzie system for spinal conditions, myofascial release, acupuncture and therapeutic exercise. The clinic also carries cervical pillows, lumbar supports, back rolls and maternity belts for patients to use between visits.
Artur Koka-Puziarski
Owner, Registered PhysiotherapistMasters degree in Physical Rehabilitation from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, 1983, and a registered physiotherapist in Ontario since 1993. He practised at Central Hospital and Women's College Hospital before opening Ortho-Physio in 2004. Post-graduate study in manual therapy, myofascial release and the McKenzie system.
Ram Acharya
Registered PhysiotherapistBPT and MPT physiotherapy degrees, registered in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian and Ontario Physiotherapy Associations. A special interest in the spine, shoulder and knee, and he practises acupuncture.
